About Pickaskool

Why it exists

Pickaskool started in 2026 as a parent's own toolkit. With a daughter in Primary 5 and a son in Secondary 2, the questions were close to home: which secondary schools might her PSLE score reach, and which routes would his subject choices open after Sec 4? The answers were spread across many MOE pages and tables, so they went into one place. It's shared here in case it helps other families facing the same choices.

It is an independent project, built and run by that parent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the Ministry of Education, any other government agency, or any school.

It has no sponsors or advertisers, and takes no payment from schools, tuition centres or agencies. If that ever changes, anything sponsored will be clearly labelled and kept apart from school information.

How the information is gathered

Everything comes from publicly available government sources (listed below). Automated programs read the published pages and datasets and keep a dated copy of each, so the numbers you see are MOE's and the government's own figures, shown with the date they were retrieved.

AI is used in two places: Ask Pickaskool writes answers from MOE's pages and shows the source for each point, and AI helped build and check the programs that gather the data and work out Pathfinder's scores (which are tested against MOE's own worked examples).

Mistakes are still possible, and MOE's rules change. Pickaskool is a planning aid, not advice: always check MOE and the school before you decide, and use MOE's official portals to register or apply.
